AM:
Champion 3D Design Lab- Create with Lego Bricks &Adobe Illustrator
This 3D Design Lab course is an introduction to creative 3D design using LEGO bricks and Adobe Illustrator. Participants will explore the possibilities of these two tools, learning techniques for creating 3D forms through hands-on experimentation with LEGO models as well as digital manipulation of 2D forms within Adobe Illustrator. By the end of the course, participants will have a better understanding of the different ways 3D design can be used to create meaningful objects and visuals.
Students will learn:
1. Create 3D designs and artwork using LEGO bricks, including how to design and build different types of structures.
2. Use Adobe Illustrator to add color and texture to the 3D designs to make them more visually appealing.
3. Combine physical and digital tools to create original works of art.
4. Utilize creative thinking and problem solving skills to design and develop their own works of art.
5. Learn the basics of three-dimensional design principles such as scale, proportion and form.
6. Develop an understanding of basic computer graphics, including the use of shapes, fills, gradients, symbols, and text.
PM:
3D Modeling & 3D printing using (with Oculus VR) TinkerCAD/blender
Oculus VR 3D Modeling & 3D Printing using TinkerCAD/blender is an immersive virtual reality experience allowing users to easily model and print professional-grade 3D objects. Featuring a user-friendly interface, TinkerCAD and Blender provide powerful tools to create custom 3D models, then quickly turn them into 3D prints. With the Oculus, users wear a headset to enter an interactive environment, where they can freely design and manipulate 3D objects. Utilizing intuitive gesture and voice actions, users can bring their ideas to life with added visual effects to showcase their creations. With this innovative design software, users can quickly build and share meaningful objects with ease.
