AM. Learn To Draw a Realistic portrait
Students will learn the foundations of drawing and become familiar with the graphite medium. Students will learn how to render the human eye, nose, and mouth naturalistically. Young artists will learn how to sketch their faces realistically from observation, and will draw self-portraits inspired by the art of Jacob Lawrence, Frida Kahlo, Van Gogh, Gauguin, and more!
Students will learn:
- how to get the Proportions of the face right
- keep your Portrait in the right Perspective
- how to Articulate your line drawing
- know the right tools for creating amazing portraits
- a method of measuring that develops the accuracy of your eye
- how to model the Form with Values and Anatomy
- how to use Anatomical Abstraction for better drawings
- learn to depict Light and Shadow in your drawings
- learn about some special pencils that will bring the needed contrast to your drawings.
- knowledge of portrait artists from the past to the present
PM. Debate 101: Think, Listen, Speak
Students will learn to speak with confidence and clarity in this course, therefore, presenting persuasive arguments in the debate competition. Students will explore different experiences from life during the debate practices, no matter how big or small,, to help form good decision-making abilities and critical thinking skills.

- how to spot fallacies
- problem-solving skills
- how to present arguments
- how to improve note-taking skills
