AM. Camp Ukulele
Welcome to Camp Ukulele where we will learn the very basics of playing the ukulele. We will all learn basic music theory and strumming patterns. After learning a couple of chords we'll learn how to play a few favorites and maybe even write one of our own! On our last day, we'll hang out with our ukuleles around a "bonfire" and make a little "beach" music video.
Students will learn:
- Rhythms: Patterns, groupings
- Songwriting: Reading, Vocabulary building, storytelling
- Note Reading &
- Beginner Chord Structures: Math (Yes!)
PM. My Story, My Self: Narrative Story Telling
Those who tell the stories, rule the world." Hopi Proverb. Sharing stories about ourselves is an essential part of self-expression. Narrative storytelling allows children to become more aware of their own identities, beliefs, and values. Of course, they'll be learning about story elements and grammar rules. The goal of this class is for our writers to gain confidence in their writing and share their narratives in a supportive environment.
*Once a week field trip is included.
