  • Hat/cap
*Golfing supplies including and water will be provided for outdoor practice.
*Must arrive at Champion before 8:30 am each morning.
Once the Champion bus leaves for the destination, you are responsible to send your child to the sports center. Call 919-388-1739 for emergency

Pottery Painting (1pm - 4pm)
Learn:
  • To make 3D functional art
  • To design patterns on daily objects

  • To express ideas by the assemblage of small pieces of colored glass, stone, or other materials
  • To appreciate and create decorative art as an interior decoration; use as such for colorful buildings and garden courtyards

Learn: ​This Science Fun program is totally FUN, totally hands-on and totally participatory for each student:
Chemical Concoctions, Buggy Biology, Wacky Weather, Ocean AdvenShores, Cosmic Quest, etc.
Upon completion of the field trip, students receive a cool science certificate and all programs provide create-and-keep experiments.

robotic (1PM - 4PM)

Learn: ​​This robotic camp program explores the basics of  Lego Mindstorm NXT Robotics.  Students will learn how to build a strong and functional robot base while utilizing multiple attachments.  They will also learn basic programming functions in order to program their robot to perform various tasks on the First Lego League competition board.  Students will work in teams of four to design, build and program their robots.  They will also build friendships though various team work exercises designed to encouraging leadership and cooperation through out the week.
WEEK 4 - a.m. 3D Printing/Production Design + p.m. Chess

A professional curriculum will be provided and geared toward individual levels and experiencing why chess is fun at Champion! Champion Chess program is well integrated with the Digital Chess Simulation Games and Practices.

WEEK 5 - a.m. Fencing + p.m. Painting & Drawing

Location: Mid-south Fencers Club
Fencing is the sport that trains one to be in control of his/her success or failure. It strengthens abilities as it sculpts mental focus with hand-eye coordination, resulting in extremely low injury rates. Due to our Partnership with Mid-South Fencers Club, we offer the exciting, dynamic Olympic and Paralympic sport of fencing for students ages 5 and up in the Research Triangle of North Carolina. 
*Must drop off kids before 8:30 am. 
*All fencing supplies will be provided.

Learn:
  • Basic to advanced drawing;
  • To paint in color pastels, watercolors, acrylic paints, oil paints

 Ever wanted to learn to code and make your own app? Get started this summer! Learn to use Javascript or Java typing languages in this camp. How cool is it to use those languages to learn how the apps are actually made?  This camp doesn't require prior coding experience but good typing skills are required!

  • To produce multiple stop motion animation videos using LEGO bricks, or mini-figures made by clay
  • To express ideas by developing stories with characters and scenes
